portrait studio kit, which one is better? For my home use and my hobby. Which one is better? Any suggetions? More lights is more better. You will get way more use out of black and white muslins versus the blue one in the first kit. You might be able to buy a longer crossbar for bigger backdrops. The backdrops are a bit small for my tastes, but it depends what you're shooting. I love the collapsable reflectors, but without a stand, you'd need someone to stand there and hold it the whole time. Its a useful thing to have, but not in the studio without a stand. You will have a lot more flexibility with the 2nd kit. The first kit wouldn't be bad if you were shooting standard school portraits. Beyond that, who else wants to be in front of that blue backdrop? You should have a key light, fill light, and 2 misc. lights for hairlights or backdrop lights. Black is great because you can get away with no background light but you need to spill light on the subject from the back if they're wearing anything dark. So 2nd kit. You can always add extras like a reflector and stand or another light, later. I think its worth much more than the extra $50. I think personally, the first kit is overpriced more than the 2nd one is a great value. Its a good value still. Check ebay too. They have bigger kits for sometimes less money. Good luck.

If my first projector, I have a lot of research and came up with the Epson 8100. I have absolutely no regrets. 

The good: 
This is done to my expectations. I installed on my trip to the basement. Although the proportion of the basement, where it is mounted dark, is not without ambient light. With this, I have no problems with the brightness of this projector. 

In the rush to set this up, I bought an examination of the projection. Today is projected onto a white cloth and is still great. I can not wait to watch this thing with a screen or monitor to get. 

I'm projecting about 120 inches diagonally, and even in the middle of a shitty day and "screen", a brilliant exhibition of photo realistic. And this is in eco-mode, I have about 150 centimeters diagnosis and throws one more bright and realistic.

There is a slight noise, light fan. But only heard the beginning, when nothing is expected and there is no sound in space. I would compare it to light the buzz, a fan behind an idle portable computer. I have noticed that the fan while watching something. 

I still can not comment on the lamp life, and I only used this for about 30 hours. 

The design of the transmitter is at hand. Put the buttons you need when you need it. The backlit remote control is also helpful. 

Although not yet used, I would like a jack PC monitor. I may be a hollow right along the HDMI cable. 

The bad: 
If I were to find fault with this projector, you can with the menu structure. And for "debt" I mean, is not very intuitive, so I could teach my dog to work. But if the worst thing I can say is that actually read through the menu options to find what you want, can not be that bad. 

The remote is ugly. But who cares. 

The case is white. I do not have much time to devote to research and behind me when watching movies, so I'm looking very much. But I think if I could choose, I would prefer that the case in black. But here are just demanding. 

Overall: 
Although this was my first projector, I had high expectations. And my expectations. I would definitely buy this again. I am very happy with the image, convenience, and overall experience with this projector.

This projector is an installers dream and for my clients who thought you had to spend a ton of money to have a great picture in their media rooms, well the quality and savings made everyone happy. Lens shift works fantastic allowing you to mount off center and project a perfect image. Helpful hint for the DIY people always mount your projector as close to lining up in the center of screen without obviously being in the way of your friends enjoying the show this will help pic quality and setup a little easier. Level projector from front to back and side to side don"t aim projector if on ceiling angling down towards screen let the lens shift do the work. Use a good mount as a installer that trys to save you money I've used cheap and worked to hard on install, my recommendation is the Premier mount PBL-UM/US little more $$$ but you'll love the easy install. If you want a projector that has a great pic and won't break bank, here's your man! This is my go to projector for media room budgets that want to stay under 5k. I match it with the Elite screens, Onkyo receivers,Polk Audio in-ceiling speakers and Polk Audio DSW MicroPro 1000/ or 2000 subwoofer for an awesome system.
