So i ordered the wrong size lens hood and i dont know what to do!Can I use an adapter so it will fit?
Ok. I just got a Nikon D3000 a few months ago and i've been buying accessories lately for it. So I just bought a 52mm UV filter and its great. I also just purchased a 67mm flower lens hood that i just realized wont fit my standard zoom 18-55mm lens. Or will it? I dont know! Is there something i can buy that will make it fit? Or did i just waste my (parents) money?
So i just begged the seller on ebay to give me a 52mm lens which he has in stock on another listing. I hope they say yes because my dad will kill me D:
*lens hood.
Ok, I foung a lens adapter but do i need 52-67mm or 55-67mm? I dont know which one since my lens is 18-55 it will fit 55mm to 67 right?
Return the lens hood
There are three things to consider when buying a lens hood.
* the focal lengths for which it is designed.
* the size of at the end of your lens.
* you also need to know if it is a bayonet type or screw-in thread type
If you buy a lens hood that is designed for a longer lens than your shortest focal length on your zoom lens, you will get vignetting. If you buy one that is designed for a wide angle lens and attempt to use it on a longer lens, it will not do its job properly
